1. Do you accept my health insurance?

I am not in network with any insurance companies, which means that I am considered an out-of-network provider and do not accept insurance.

2. Is it possible to see you if you do not accept my health insurance?

Yes! While I am not in network with any health insurance plans, many health insurance plans include out-of-network benefits for mental health services. If so, you will be eligible to receive reimbursement of our weekly sessions. Upon your request, I can provide proper documentation (Superbills) weekly or monthly that contains all the information needed to be able to receive reimbursement from your insurance company. Most health insurance plans offer up to 60-80% reimbursement. However, please make sure to contact your health insurance plan prior to scheduling an appointment to know the reimbursement percentage you are entitled to.  

3. Does Dr. Portillo provide services outside of New York? 

Dr. Portillo is licensed in New York, Connecticut and is an out-of-state telehealth provider for Florida.(https://flhealthsource.gov/telehealth/).
